Personal Data Protection Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia joins GPEN

   Personal Data Protection Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has become a full-fledged member of the Global Privacy Enforcement Network (GPEN). The Network was established in 2010 based on the Recommendation on Cross-border Co-operation in the Enforcement of Laws Protecting Privacy adopted by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in 2007.

  It calls on the Member States to establish an informal network of bodies protecting privacy in order to promote co-operation through exchange of information, creation of training opportunities, law enforcement innovations, dialogue with Member States.

  Members of the GPEN are the personal data protection supervisory authorities of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Albania, Canada, New Zealand, China, Australia and other countries.
