Minister of Justice discusses with Ambassador of China the opportunities for deepening of co-operation in legal sector

On 20 March, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Davit Harutyunyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Armenia Tian Erlun.

The Minister of Justice congratulated the Ambassador on the re-election of the President of China and highlighted the fact that there is great potential for development of the Armenian-Chinese friendship.

During the meeting, Minister Harutyunyan discussed with Ambassador Erlun a number of issues for deepening co-operation in the legal sector; in particular, Minister Harutyunyan touched upon the opportunities for the conclusion of agreements on the transfer and extradition of convicts between the two countries.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Minister of Justice for the reception and invited the Minister of Justice to participate in the international law conference to be held in Beijing in 2018.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the willingness to further deepen
the co-operation between the two countries in the justice sector and to record measurable results.
