Minister of Justice discusses with British expert several issues related to labour legislation of the Republic of Armenia

Today, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Davit Harutyunyan received Professor of Law Alan Neal, who is in Armenia with the support of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Republic of Armenia.

First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artur Hovhannisyan, Head of the Department of Legal Assurance of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Anahit Antonyan, Head of the Department for International Legal Cooperation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Kristinne Grigoryan and other employees of the Ministry also participated in the first meeting of the four-day working discussions.

During the meeting, the Minister discussed with the expert several issues related to the labour legislation of the Republic of Armenia that will allow structuring a flexible and consistent legislation.

The types of employment contracts and the minimum requirements for those contracts, the best international experience in ensuring flexible rules and regulations in respect of hours of work and rest, the application of administrative, judicial or other mechanisms in regard to labour disputes, as well as the status and powers of the body carrying out supervision over labour norms will be touched upon during the discussions.
