Second round of working meeting for reducing corruption took place

Today, the second round of the working discussion on reducing corruption hindering the private sector — being held within the scope of the joint programme with the Ministry of Justice, VivaCell-MTS and Harmonious Development NGO — took place with the participation of Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Suren Krmoyan.

During the meeting, Suren Krmoyan, attaching importance to the involvement of representatives of the business sector and their ideological support to anti-corruption programmes as well, presented a number of electronic platforms operated by the Ministry of Justice that are essentially simplifying the communication of the business sector with state authorities. In this context, they particularly touched upon the www.e-request.am unified platform for electronic requests and the e-hotline.am hotline service of the Ministry of Justice.

The Deputy Minister recommended representatives of the private sector to present the administrative obstacles and corruption risks that can be solved through joint efforts, including by application of innovative and electronic tools. Among the problems raised by the participants of the meeting, the rules for storing drugs in customs warehouses, the period for joining newly created entrepreneurial firms to the power supply network situated out of a residential area, interest rates of the amounts levied in case of non-cash transactions and a number of issues for ensuring the smooth process of payment orders entered into the judiciary by electronic means have been distinguished.
