Minister of Justice discusses wide range of co-operation with U.S. Ambassador
Ambassador Mills congratulated Artak Zeynalyan on the occasion of his appointment and underlined that the United States was ready to provide assistance in the issues concerning rule of law, human rights and anti-corruption, improving the business climate in Armenia and making the country more attractive for American investors. "We congratulate you on your appointment and expect fruitful co-operation," the U.S. Ambassador said and asked about the priorities of the Ministry of Justice.

Greeting the guests, the Minister highly appreciated the efforts of the Council of Europe aimed at strengthening democracy and assured that the new Government of Armenia was going to fulfil all the international commitments undertaken by the Republic of Armenia with a high sense of responsibility. Second round of working meeting for reducing corruption took place
During the meeting, Suren Krmoyan, attaching importance to the involvement of representatives of the business sector and their ideological support to anti-corruption programmes as well, presented a number of electronic platforms operated by the Ministry of Justice that are essentially simplifying the communication of the business sector with state authorities. In this context, they particularly touched upon the www.e-request.am unified platform for electronic requests and the e-hotline.am hotline service of the Ministry of Justice.
Minister Zeynalyan receives Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Armenia Vincenzo del Monaco
Greeting the guests, the Minister highly appreciated the current level of relations between the two countries and underlined that there was great potential for deepening the co-operation with Italy in the justice sector, particularly within the scope of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union on 24 November 2017.
Persons having committed an administrative offence shall be released from the obligation of paying the amount of penalty provided for by the administrative act and enforcement expenses incurred related to levying the amount
The necessity of this initiative is conditioned by the large number of penalties imposed in the field of road traffic safety, which, on the one hand, does not contribute to effective implementation of the policy aimed at preventing offences by the State, and on the other hand, the payment of penalties, in terms of the social conditions of the addressees, has negative consequences in many cases.
Minister of Justice discusses some issues on holding credible parliamentary elections with Ambassador of Germany
The Ambassador congratulated Artak Zeynalyan on the occasion of being appointed to the office of Minister of Justice and underlined that the Ministry of Justice is, generally and particularly in this phase, the most essential structure of the Government in terms of implementing reforms in the Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia for holding snap parliamentary elections, as well as improving the judiciary and carrying out activities for the fight against corruption. In this context, Ambassador Kiesler expressed support to the Minister on behalf of the Government of Germany for carrying out the mentioned processes successfully.
Suren Krmoyan has working meeting for reducing corruption with representatives of private sector
During the meeting, Suren Krmoyan attached importance to the involvement of representatives of the business sector and their ideological support to anti-corruption programmes as well — to make the State’s solutions to involvement and ideological support more targeted and effective. In this context, Deputy Minister Krmoyan urged the participants of the meeting to present ideas to the Ministry of Justice, which would be implemented in the near future through to joint discussions and joint efforts.
