RA Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan hands over diplomas to PR Academy graduates

Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan today conducted the last lesson of the third class of the PR Academy and handed over diplomas to them.

Emphasising the role of PR specialists in forming public opinion, and noted that competent and informed specialists might impact decision-making. According to her, it is hard to imagine social and political relations in the 21st century without strong and honest ties with the public, while PR specialists assume the role of providing these ties.

In response to the question on her key to success, Arpine Hovhannisyan said: "What matters is not achieving, but deserving the success; one needs to be not a successful, but a valuable person: this idea has always been a benchmark for me.'

According to Astghik Avetisyan, head of the ‘Armenian PR Association’ think tank, quality education is the best and by far the shortest way to form PR culture. “This time the number of applicants was 109, and just 15 of them were accepted. What we appreciate is the motivation of applicants, their interest in learning the profession, their desire to get additional knowledge,” Astghik Avetisyan said.

During the meeting, the Minister responded to questions raised by students of the PR Academy, providing them with an opportunity to get acquainted with the activities and functions of the Ministry.
