On-site birth registration programme being expanded; four more medical institutions have joined the initiative
25/06/2020
The Surb Grigor Lusavorich, Grigor Narekatsi, Shengavit and Astghik Medical Centers have also joined the largest number of maternity hospitals in Yerevan that have joined the pilot programme launched on 8 March 2020.
This means that the children’s births will be registered on site, and other functions provided for by the legislation arising from registration will be performed.
Let us remind that the medical institutions that joined the first stage of the programme were Erebuni Medical Center (maternity hospital), the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Research Center of Maternal and Child Health Protection.
The following state registrations are carried out at the sites specifically allocated for that purpose at the aforementioned seven medical institutions: state registration of childbirth, state registration of establishment of paternity of the child, state registration of a marriage.
This programme, which is aimed at making public services more available for the population, will be ongoing and will be extended phase-by-phase to all medical institutions providing maternity care in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
