The Ministry of Justice, in response to inquiries received on the two articles entitled "Shahen Meghryan's nephew was forced to resign as his father is a candidate for deputy by the ''Hayastan" alliance'' and "The Meghryan family is engaged in the campaign of Kocharyan in Kotayk" published in mass media, clarifies: On 12 June 2021, Head of the Kotayk Marz Division of the Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice Fridon Meghryan applied to the Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer of the Republic of Armenia with a request to dismiss him, as a substantiation mentioning the circumstance that he is urged to dismiss from work upon his application, as his father is engaged in ''the active pre-election campaign'' against the incumbent authorities: The application was not proceeded. For the purpose of finding out the above-mentioned circumstances indicated in the application of F. Meghryan, on 15 June 2021, an official investigation was appointed by the Acting Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer of the Republic of Armenia with regard to an alleged act of using official position for the interests of political parties. At the same time, taking into account the hierarchical relations, in conditions whereof the conduct of official investigation might be hindered, the powers of the head of the Kotayk Marz Division of the Compulsory Enforcement Service were temporarily suspended during the official investigation.
