Work experience

2003-2004 — Lawyer in a private company.

2004-2009 — worked at the "Law Institute of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia" State Non-Commercial Organisation, holding the positions of Assistant to the Director for Legal Affairs and later Deputy Director for Legal Affairs.

2008-2020 — Editor-in-chief of "Justice" academic journal (the journal is approved by the Higher Qualification Committee of the Republic of Armenia).

2009-2010 — Head of the Department for Relations with the European Court of Human Rights under the Staff of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia. At the same time, he worked as lecturer at the Law College of the "Law Institute of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia" State Non-Commercial Organisation and has headed the Chair of Law.

2010-2011 — Head of the Chair of Law at the "Law Institute of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia" State Non-Commercial Organisation.

2011-2012 — held the position of Expert-Legal Consultant and then re-assigned to the position of Legal Consultant of the Director at the "Law Institute of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia" State Non-Commercial Organisation.

Since 2011 — Official Representative of the Republic of Armenia in the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) located in Athens.

2012 — Head of the Department of Legal Analysis at the Office of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia.

2013-2018 — elected as member of the Council of Elders of Yerevan.

2013-2022 — Director of “AM” Law Firm LLC.

Since 2014 — Director of the Branch of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) in Yerevan.

2022 January-December Deputy Minister. 

2022 December 26 Appointed to be Minister.

Education

1990-2000 — studied at Secondary School #8 after A. Pushkin.

2000-2005 — studied in the Faculty of Law at the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University and graduated with honours.

2005-2008 — studied at the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2008, he defended the scientific thesis and received PhD degree.

Other information

Since 2012 — Member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia.

Married with three daughters.
