Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan elected as President of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS states

Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovannisyan is in Saint Petersburg on a two-day visit to participate in the session of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS states, as well as in the Legal Forum being conducted in Saint Petersburg, which will also be attended by Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitri Medvedev.
On 17 May, the session of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS member states took place, during which Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan was elected as President of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS states. A range of issues were included in the agenda of the session, with regard to which the Ministers presented the steps made in their countries. In particular, the legislation on the notarial system, on non-governmental organisations for development of advocacy services, etc. was discussed.
And upon completion of the session the Ministers of Justice of the CIS states signed a Memorandum on development of co-operation on legal security of integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. It is aimed at strengthening and developing the principles, adopted by the member states and the norms of international law.
The visit of Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan to Saint Petersburg will continue today.
