Minister of Justice touches upon sector-related problems during meeting with employees of the Civil Acts Registration Agency

On 1 June, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan participated in the event devoted to presentation of the 2014 United Nations Ministerial Declaration "On Civil Registration and Vital Statistics in Asia and the Pacific" and the "Regional action framework on civil registration and vital statistics in Asia and the Pacific". Employees of the central and territorial subdivisions of the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia attended the meeting.
Arpine Hovhannisyan, attaching importance to the role and significance of the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency in the activities of the Ministry and in the citizen service sector, mentioned that such a meeting would provide the opportunity to identify in practice the problems that exist in the sector and find paths for effective solution to those problems. According to her, an Inter-departmental Working Group has been established to that end, and it has already taken certain steps. The Minister added that there was still a lot of work to be accomplished. The Minister emphasised that the activities of the employees of the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency are in her focus because the citizen service sector always needs to be improved and the complaints need to be reduced to a minimum.
