Minister of Justice introduces newly appointed head to the staff of the Penitentiary Service

Today, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan introduced newly appointed head of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artyom Mkhoyan to the Staff of the Service.
First Deputy Minister of Justice Artur Hovhannisyan, Deputy Minister Suren Krmoyan and Head of the Control Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Mikayel Minasyan participated in the meeting.
The Minister congratulated Artyom Mkhoyan on the occasion of assuming management of the Service, expressed his gratitude to the former head of the Penitentiary Service Rafayel Hovhannisyan for the achievements made and noted that any action carried out or behaviour displayed by different structural services of the Ministry of Justice would be attributed to the Republic of Armenia. "Consequently, we should keep the reputation of the Republic of Armenia high with our work performed efficiently and with responsibility,” the Minister said. According to him, the new Government has full support of the people, the people are the owners of the power, and hence, by assuming responsibility to serve the State, one should do his best to meet the expectations of the people. "We are going to establish new approaches, and the problems existing in this system must be gradually and consistently solved. Corruption must be eliminated from the system, and it must be visible for the citizens of Armenia," Minister Zeynalyan emphasised, at the same time, he attached importance to ensuring social safeguards for a penitentiary officer.
Artyom Mkhoyan expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the Minister of Justice for their trust and assured that the Service would demonstrate, with its work, that it is able to solve any issue for the benefit of the people of the Republic of Armenia.
