Working discussion on the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On regulatory legal acts"

Today, First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artur Hovhannisyan participated in the discussion on the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On regulatory legal acts" launched in Tsaghkadzor for the employees of state bodies. Among the participants of the discussion organised by the “Centre for Legislation Development and Legal Research” Foundation were Advisor to the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan, Director of the Foundation Tigran Markosyan, Head of the Department of Legal Support of the Ministry of Justice Anahit Antonyan and others.

Artur Hovhannisyan attached importance to the organisation of such discussions of laws in terms of establishing a common practice in the course of enforcement thereof and noted that there was a constant flow of questions regarding the Law both in the course of development of the draft and after adoption of the Law. Within that context, the Deputy Minister assured that the Law would be reviewed after a while. The First Deputy Minister wished the participants a productive and meaningful discussion.

According to Director of the "Centre for Legislation Development and Legal Research" Foundation of the Ministry of Justice Tigran Markosyan, the selected topic is an extremely important and very current topic, especially taking into consideration the fact that the comments on the Law are going to be provided by specialists of the Ministry of Justice having developed the legal act. The Director of the Foundation urged the representatives of the state bodies to send the “inventoried” questions regarding the Law to the Ministry of Justice in the near future in order for the activities for improvement of the legal act to be organised more efficiently.

During the working discussion, issues related to the general provisions of the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On regulatory legal acts", assessment and expert examination of the impact of regulation of the regulatory legal act, the organisation of public discussions, the rules of legislative techniques and other issues were touched upon.
