Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan tours State Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia

Today, Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan toured the central body of the State Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia. Minister Zeynalyan, accompanied by Head of the Service Arsen Navasardyan, got acquainted with the working conditions of the employees of the structural subdivisions and the territorial division of Yerevan and the functions being performed.

During the tour, Minister Zeynalyan held a consultation with the management staff of the State Probation Service during which a number of key issues on ensuring efficiency of the Service were discussed, particularly, the opportunities for the introduction and development of an alternative measure of restraint through the application of electronic monitoring, as well as the steps aimed at raising the level of efficiency of the work carried out by persons involved in public works.

The issues related to introduction of the e-probation electronic system and the ensuring of electronic access of the State Probation Service to the database of the Penitentiary System, which will significantly increase the speed and improve efficiency of the activities of the Service, were touched upon during the consultation.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Zeynalyan attached importance to shaping by the employees of a positive attitude of the beneficiaries of the State Probation Service towards public authorities and underlined that this value system must be visible not only in Yerevan, but also in the most distant marzes as well.
