Minister of Justice receives outgoing U.S. Ambassador to Armenia

Today, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan received outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Armenia Richard Mills.
Minister Zeynalyan expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for the effective activities carried out during his term of office, highly appreciated his contribution in the context of Armenian–American multi-sector co-operation and expressed hope that the Ambassador is leaving Armenia with good impressions.
Ambassador Mills considered it an honour to be the Ambassador of the United States of America to Armenia and greatly valued the close co-operation between the Embassy and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia. “What is particularly commendable is that combating corruption is among the priority objectives of the Ministry, which is a priority for us as well, and we will continue our support with regard to this issue,” the U.S. Ambassador noted.
At the end of the meeting the Minister and the Ambassador discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest for combating corruption, ensuring independence of the judiciary, improving the electoral system, etc.
