Issues on cases under examination through the procedure of simplified proceedings discussed with advocates

Today, at the initiative of a number of representatives of the community of advocates, a discussion on the draft Law "On making an amendment to the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia" was held at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

According to Director of the "Centre for Legislation Development and Legal Research" Foundation of the Ministry of Justice Tigran Markosyan, although representatives of the Chamber of Advocates were also present during the recent discussion on this Draft and were among several other interested parties, this meeting was organised upon being informed that several advocates also have proposals regarding the draft Law.

Advocate Karapet Badalyan expressed gratitude for the meeting and attached importance to the organising of discussions on draft laws in this format.

During the professional discussion, the proposals of the advocates related to cases under examination through the procedure of simplified proceedings were touched upon, some of which were clarified, and some were accepted based on the agreement that they would be implemented during revision of the Draft.
