Reforms will be implemented in the civil status acts registration sector by the draft Law "On making amendments and a supplement to the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On civil status acts"", which was approved during today’s session of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
According to Acting Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan, healthy competition will be built between civil status acts registration bodies, and this will have a favourable impact on the development of the citizen services sector. As a result of this reform, citizens will have the right to apply to any civil status acts registration body for performance of relevant functions, corruption risks of the activities of civil status acts registration bodies will be reduced, the quality of service of civil status acts registration bodies will be improved, etc.
Let us mention that the reforms are being implemented within the scope of the new policy defined for the purpose of enhancing the civil status acts registration sector under the 2017-2022 Programme of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, upon the proposal of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.
