Reforms in prison healthcare sector continue

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia continues the process of reforms in the prison healthcare sector.
Thus, within the scope of the project "Strengthening the Health Care and Human Rights Protection in Prisons in Armenia" — being jointly implemented by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and the Council of Europe — necessary furniture has been acquired, including cabinets for storing medicine and medical substances, wooden boxes, desks and chairs, for the purpose of ensuring good working conditions for the medical personnel of the penitentiary system.
In the future, it is envisaged to distribute them among relevant penitentiary institutions.
