Minister of Justice receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Armenia

On 21 February, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Armenia Johannes Daumann.

In the conversation with the Ambassador, the Minister touched upon the provisions in the Programme of the Government of the Republic of Armenia related to the justice sector, possibilities to provide the Probation Service of the Republic of Armenia with devices necessary for electronic monitoring, the development of new judicial and legal, penitentiary, human rights protection strategies, the improvement of the prison conditions and the future plans for replacing at least three penitentiary institutions with the new ones.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the willingness to further strengthen the co-operation between the two countries in the justice sector and to record tangible results.
