Minister of Justice receives IRI Strategic Advisor

Today, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan received the delegation led by Strategic Advisor of the International Republican Institute (IRI) Barry Jackson.

The Minister highly appreciated the experience and rich biography of Barry Jackson, who has carried out his activities in the executive and legislative fields of the United States of America, and discussed the mechanisms for overcoming the main challenges in the justice sector with him.

In particular, the level of public awareness about the reforms being implemented by the Government, the level of effectiveness of the systematic fight against corruption and the issues related to increase of public confidence in the judicial authority, as well as the implementation of activities for needs assessment and capacity — building of the Ministry were touched upon during the meeting.

Minister Zeynalyan expressed his gratitude to the expert for the meeting and assured that the co-operation would be ongoing and the result would be measurable.
