Tigran Khachikyan holds a working meeting with managerial staff of the Probation Service

Today, Deputy Minister of Justice Tigran Khachikyan met with managerial staff of the Central Body and the territorial subdivisions of the Probation Service.

During the meeting the Deputy Minister listened to the summary reports of Head of the Service Arsen Navasardyan, heads of the territorial subdivisions of the Service on the activities having been implemented in marzes regarding the re-socialisation programmes.

Tigran Khachikyan also listened to the issues raised by the heads of the Central Body and the territorial subdivisions of the Service and discussed the steps aimed at improving the quality of the Service.

In particular, a number of issues related to the building premises, effective human resource recruitment of territorial subdivisions, raising efficiency of re-socialisation function and the content of advisory reports provided by the Service, and electronic monitoring were touched upon during the meeting.

For raising the efficiency of re-socialisation function carried out by the Service, Deputy Minister Khachikyan attached importance to the involvement of psychologists in the activities implemented with beneficiaries of probation. Within this context, Tigran Khachikyan assigned to submit quarterly reports on the activities implemented with the involvement of psychologists, clearly indicating the data of the beneficiary and the nature of the implemented activities.

During the meeting, the results of application of the electronic tool for risk and needs assessment of the Yerevan city beneficiaries of the Service was presented to the Deputy Minister, which would be successively introduced by subdivisions of the marzes as well.

Summarising the working discussion, the Deputy Minister assigned to submit, within three-days, to the Ministry proposals on legal solutions related to the part of the discussed issues with a view to studying them in the prescribed manner.
