Rustam Badasyan discusses with his American counterpart new possibilities for co-operation

Today, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan received the delegation led by USAID/Armenia Mission Director Deborah Grieser.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the American counterpart for the effective
co-operation, and in this context highly appreciated the support targeted at the implementation of the activities of the "Centre for Legislation Development and Legal Research" Foundation of the Ministry.

The USAID/Armenia Mission Director expressed her gratitude for the meeting and asked the Minister about the reform programmes and the possibilities to support them.

Rustam Badasyan briefly presented the short-term and long-term programmes of the Ministry, singling out the measures — provided for by the Strategies for Judicial and Legal Reforms — aimed at preventing the corruption, detecting corruption crimes and anti-corruption education, strengthening the rule of law through the transitional justice toolkit, conducting constitutional reforms, introducing a balanced mechanism for assessment of integrity of judges and of electronic justice.

At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed new possibilities for co-operation.
