EU expresses comprehensive support to Armenia’s commitment to implementing reforms in justice sector

Today, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan received the delegation led by Head of Unit of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Eastern Partnership of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission Vassilis Maragos. Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Victorin; Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Kristinne Grigoryan and others were also attending the meeting.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the European colleagues for effective
co-operation and, introducing the agenda of reforms in the justice sector, informed them about the launch of the process of constitutional reforms. During the meeting, the parties also touched upon the developments with regard to reforms in the judicial and legal and police sectors.

Vassilis Maragos attached importance to the commitment of the Government to implementing reforms, particularly in the justice sector, and expressed the comprehensive support of the European Union to the implementation of these initiatives.
