Rustam Badasyan considers opportunities for co-operation with Registrar of the International Court of Justice

On 5 February, during the visit to the city of The Hague of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan met with Registrar of the International Court of Justice Philippe Gautier.
The Minister briefly informed his counterpart about the latest developments that took place in Armenia, including the main directions for judicial and legal reforms in Armenia following the non-violent, velvet revolution and considered with Philippe Gautier the paths for expansion of the co-operation between Armenia and the International Court of Justice.
On 6 February, the second day of the visit, Minister Badasyan visited Netherlands Helsinki Committee and had a discussion with experts on reforms in the judicial-legal and law-enforcement sectors. During the meeting, the activities of the Netherlands Helsinki Committee were presented, after which Rustam Badasyan touched upon the judicial-legal and anti-corruption strategies, the plans for reforms which were highly appreciated by the experts. The Minister emphasised that there was also successful co-operation with civil society representatives during development of the strategies.
Importance was also attached to the ensuring of the rule of law during the discussion with the experts.
