Today, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Armenia Lynne Tracy.
Welcoming the Ambassador to the Ministry of Justice, Rustam Badasyan expressed gratitude for the support that the U.S. provides to the reforms in Armenia and emphasised that, through close co-operation, maximal efforts will be made to deepen the mutual co-operation and establish a wider scope of co-operation.
Once again, the Minister reaffirmed that the fight against corruption is one of the priorities of the Government of Armenia and, in this context, attached importance to the need for close co-operation of the law-enforcement authorities of the two countries.
The U.S. Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the meeting with the Minister and discussed the support of the U.S. Government to Armenia for implementation of the pretentious agenda for police reforms, the establishment of anti-corruption institutions, as well as the fight against human trafficking, which is in the domain of mutual interest between the U.S. and Armenia.
