The legislative package “On Fact-Finding Commission” has been presented for public discussion

The Ministry of Justice has presented the drafts of the Law “On Fact-Finding Commission” and related laws for public discussion.
The draft laws define the relations pertaining to the formation and activities of the Fact-Finding Commission in the Republic of Armenia granted with the power to study the cases of massive and periodic violations of human rights violations in the Republic of Armenia between the years of 1991 and 2018 and the causes thereof, to gather information on them and make recommendations to exclude their recurrence, the scope of competence of the Fact-Finding Commission, the powers of the Commission, the requirements set for the members and other relations related to its activities.
The Ministry of Justice anticipates broad participation of interested parties in the form of comments and suggestions.
