On 22 September, at the Compulsory Enforcement Service, Minister of Justice
Rustam Badasyan participated in the solemn award ceremony for employees and the oath-taking and handing over of official certificates to persons having been appointed to the position of compulsory enforcement officer for the first time.
Congratulating the Minister and the employees of the Service within the context of the symbol of the day, Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer Sergey Meghryan said the following in his welcoming speech: "The formation of a free, independent third Republic as a legal state became the trump card to historical justice of the Armenian people. Even today, when our country is facing various challenges, the individual consciousness of each of us is more than important in terms of maintaining what has been achieved, honestly creating, guaranteeing and ensuring the continuous existence of a democratic, law-based and human-centred state. These incentives are not of a formal nature. They serve as evidence of the path that you have taken. My wish is that you do not limit yourselves to what you have achieved, and instead, act with your full potential for the benefit of the citizens of the Republic of Armenia."
Minister Badasyan also congratulated those present on the occasion of Independence Day and emphasised that it serves as a good opportunity to revalue our service to the homeland. "We must first believe in the work we do. For example, I believe that we are going to have a corruption-free Compulsory Enforcement Service. My deputies and
Mr Meghryan also believe in this. I would like for the administration and all the employees of the Service to also believe in this idea and believe that we are going to have completely different social guarantees, a decent salary, decent working conditions and a corruption-free Compulsory Enforcement Service," the Minister said and added that we must believe in what we do in order to achieve this.
According to Rustam Badasyan, the Service was previously hinged on a bad practice, which detached the Service from citizens. "We often fail to perceive citizens as partners, persons to whom we are accountable, accountable to our society, to our citizens. Speaking rudely to a citizen and being indifferent towards his or her everyday concerns are, of course, unacceptable for us. For this reason, I ask the administration present here to pay special attention to the attachments being imposed unfairly," the Minister of Justice emphasised, meanwhile noting that there are also many objective problems that are not dependent on the Service, but to which systemic solutions must be provided through combined efforts.
During the event, on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Armenia, upon the Orders of the Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer, a number of employees of the Service were granted incentives and awards for proper performance of official duties and tasks.
At the end of the event, the official ceremony of oath-taking and handing over of official certificates to 8 persons having been appointed to the position of compulsory enforcement officers of different marz divisions of the Service took place.
Sergey Meghryan wished the new employees safe service and to be honest and responsible while performing the professional duties. Minister Rustam Badasyan expressed hope that they will perform service worthy of the spirit of the oath.
