Rustam Badasyan meets with residents of areas of Yerevan Small Centre recognised as overriding public interest

Today, Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan met with Zhirayr Avanyan, Vardan Gabrielyan and Harutyun Serobyan, residents of the Small Centre of Yerevan, as well as their lawyers Alina Avetisyan and Nelli Papyan, who are involved in property alienation relations regarding the ensuring of overriding public interests.

Minister Badasyan highlighted the need to find an effective way to address the problem, briefly touched upon the activities of the interagency commission established by the relevant Decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia of 9 December 2019, heard the concerns of residents and lawyers and discussed the legal ways that would lead to the solution of the problem.

The participants of the meeting presented the problems having arisen since 2008 in the process of property alienation for ensuring the overriding public interests and their positions aimed at addressing them.

The Ministry will continue studying the issue.
