The Kingdom of the Netherlands is ready to support Armenia to implement the reforms launched in the judicial and legal sector. Today, Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of The Netherlands to Armenia Nico Schermers discussed the issues of co-operation between Armenia and The Netherlands.
The Ambassador inquired from Minister Andreasyan after the priorities of the Ministry and highlighted that The Netherlands is open to any kinds of proposals.
Karen Andreasyan presented the five biggest dreams related to the justice sector, targeted at the reforms of the Constitution, the penitentiary and probation systems, the recovery of the judicial system through integrity checking, the reforms in the sector of compulsory enforcement and digitalisation of the judicial system.
In this context, the Minister stated that the sectors are large, important and that it will be difficult to implement the reforms in that direction without the support of international partners.
Ambassador Schermers expressed willingness to deepen the co-operation in a number of other directions.
