EU will continue to provide large-scale support to reforms in the judicial and legal sector. Karen Andreasyan meets EU Ambassador

Armenia also made significant progress in the justice sector thanks to the tangible support of the European Union. This is what Minister of Justice Karen Andreasyan stated today during the meeting with Head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin.

The Minister reaffirmed the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Armenia to democratic values and the rule of law and proudly stated that the EU has been Armenia’s key partner in the field of justice reforms for many years.

Ambassador Wiktorin congratulated Karen Andreasyan on his appointment as Minister, emphasised the democratic elections held in Armenia in 2021 and expressed willingness to continue the EU’s large-scale support for the reforms in the judicial and legal sector.

During the meeting, the sides also touched upon the formation of the Anti-Corruption Committee and the process of the reforms of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption and the Police, and expressed willingness to further deepen the good traditions of the co-operation between Armenia and the EU.
