Tariffs of state fees required for state registration of marriage or for solemn organisation of wedding ceremony essentially reduce

The Ministry of Justice envisages solemn conditions in the "Armenia" hall of Sport and Concert Complex after Karen Demirtchyan for all persons wishing to register a marriage in Armenia.

From this point forth, in order for all couples entering into marriage to have the opportunity to benefit from the solemn ceremony, to conduct a solemn ceremony at the Complex, it will be necessary to pay AMD 20.000 for registration and AMD 20.000 as entrance fee. In the past, couples would pay AMD 60.000 for these services.

The application for registration of marriage needs to be submitted to the Unified Office for Citizens' Services of the Ministry of Justice, address: 3 Vazgen Sargsyan Street, or to territorial service centres.

Not only citizens of the Republic of Armenia, but also foreign citizens and stateless persons may register marriage in Armenia.

To register the marriage of a foreign citizen or a stateless person, a document certifying the family status, issued by the competent authority of the country of permanent residence of the foreign citizen or stateless person, is required.

When submitting an application for registration of marriage, it is necessary to take into consideration the fact that state registration of marriage is carried out on the day indicated in the joint application submitted by the persons entering into marriage, but no earlier than the next working day after submission of the application and no later than six months after submission of the application.

The application for registration of marriage may also be submitted through an authorised person. In this case, it is necessary to submit an application containing the information in the sample form of the marriage application — filled out by the person entering into marriage — and approved through notarial procedure.
