For this purpose, the Ministry of Justice has drawn up the Report “On Issues of Electoral Legislation and Practice”, which sums up the issues, recommendations and opinions submitted by non-governmental organisations, the OSCE/ODIHR and the Venice Commission in regard to the reforms in the Electoral Code and were put into circulation among the interested partners as well.
Deputy Minister Tumanyants also presented the timetable for thematic discussions for electoral reforms that was drawn up as a result of the Report and attached importance to ensuring the inclusive participation in every thematic discussion.
Representatives of parliamentary, extra-parliamentary forces, state administration bodies, civil society organisations and organisations carrying out international mission in Armenia were invited to the event.
