Andrea Victorin, Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia, welcomed the idea of creating the Arbitration Center: “We are ready to support the Government of Armenia in the creation of the Arbitration Center. I thank all the organizations that supported this process. The justice sector is one of the spheres where we can carry out joint work. We have close cooperation with the United Nations Development Program and I am glad that the creation of the Arbitration Center will be implemented in Armenia as well”.

The President of the Central Bank, Martin Galstyan, and other guests also gave speeches; the latter welcomed the idea of creating the Arbitration Center and expressed their willingness to support the work of said Center.

The reforms carried out by the Ministry aim to ensure the efficiency and accessibility of justice by developing alternative ways of resolving disputes, ensuring the use of modern ways of resolving commercial disputes, resolving local, regional and why not also international disputes in Armenia through arbitration, thereby also creating conditions for improving the business environment in Armenia and for effective investment protection. At the same time, the establishment of alternative methods of dispute resolution and, in particular, arbitration, will contribute to the relief of the burden on the courts, which is one of the primary goals of justice sector reforms.
