Acting Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan receives delegation led by UNDP Resident Representative Natia Natsvlishvili

Acting Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan received the delegation led by UNDP Resident Representative Natia Natsvlishvili.

The support that the UNDP has provided to the development of the 2023-2025 Action Plan arising from the Strategy for Human Rights Protection, police and constitutional reforms, as well as the issues related to the co-ordinating role of the Ministry of Justice in the area of public administration reforms within the scope of the EU-funded ''Accountable Institutions and Human Rights Protection in Armenia" project, was discussed during the meeting.

During the meeting, Grigor Minasyan highlighted the issues related to the systematic activities targeted at police reforms, attaching special importance to the reform of the education system of the police and the establishment of the new Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A number of issues related to the promotion of constitutional reforms, the enhancement of the rights and opportunities of national interested parties, the provision of expert consultation and the best practice were also presented at the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to further strengthen and deepen the existing co-operation, as well as take steps to predetermine the new initiatives.
