Issue of expansion of the institution for liability insurance for notaries is under consideration

The Ministry of Justice continues the activities to implement the objectives stipulated by the 2022-2026 Strategy for Judicial and Legal Reforms. For this purpose, a discussion meeting with representatives of the Notarial Chamber, the Ministry of Justice and a number of insurance companies was held under the leadership of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice. A number of issues related to the reforms of the institution of liability insurance for notaries were discussed during the meeting. The parties reaffirmed that the regulations set in 2016 need to be revisited and reformed. For this purpose, an agreement was reached to continue the discussions and, based on the best international practice and recommendations of insurance companies, consider the possibility of expanding the liability insurance and revisiting the tariffs for notarial services.
