13/01/2023

Today the subsequent sitting of the Council for Constitutional Reforms was held.

The proposed change in the fundamentals of the Constitutional Order, particularly the proposal to replace the basis of economic order provided for by the Constitution from "social market economy" to "market economy", was considered during the sitting.

After a substantive discussion, the issue was put up for a vote, and the proposal was not accepted by the Council.

The proposal to eliminate the differentiation between Chapters 2 and 3 of the Constitution and to enshrine social, economic and cultural rights in the chapter on fundamental human rights was discussed as the second item on the agenda.

The Council decided that the concluding speeches will be delivered and the voting on the issue will be held during the next sitting.
