Issues existing in the digitalisation process of the justice sector and requiring urgent solution discussed at the sitting of the Inter-Agency Council chaired by Grigor Minasyan

The regular sitting of the Inter-Agency Working Group that jointly co-ordinates the activities aimed at establishing the electronic justice system took place.

The sitting was chaired by Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan and was attended by Deputy Ministers Ara Mkrtchyan and Levon Balyan, General Secretary of Ministry of Justice Sirvard Gevorgyan, Advisor to the Minister Liana Tovmasyan, representatives from the Supreme Judicial Council, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Police, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the Notarial Chamber, the Penitentiary and Probation Services and representatives from other agencies.

Upon the proposal of Grigor Minasyan, issues existing in the digitalisation process of the justice sector and requiring urgent solution were discussed during the sitting.

The members of the working group presented issues related to the digitalisation of the functions of their agencies; the projects being implemented with the involvement of the Ministry of Justice became the subject of discussion. The significance of digitalisation and harmonisation of the whole chain of criminal justice, establishment of server economy per modern standards, other reforms expected in the notary system, as well as the largest agenda issue, i.e. the measures being implemented towards the digitalisation of courts, were addressed.

The efficiency of the sitting was highlighted through indication of clear ways of solutions in terms of issues raised and through giving of corresponding assignments.

At the end of the meeting, Grigor Minasyan attached importance to the meetings in such format and highlighted the efficiency of the working group activities by proposing to expand the list of stakeholders.
