''Group of States against Corruption'' (GRECO) team discusses issues related to mechanisms for investigation of cases related to corruption prevention and integrity and corruption cases with respect to state system

The evaluation team of the ''Group of States against Corruption'' (GRECO) of the Council of Europe held discussions with high-ranking officials in Armenia.
The 5th Evaluation Round Report on the Republic of Armenia was launched by GRECO back in December 2022, within the scope of which the mechanisms of the entire system of investigation of the cases of prevention of corruption and integrity, including corruption cases existing with regard to the Prime Minister and Advisers thereto, the Deputy Prime Ministers and Advisers thereto, Ministers and Advisers thereto, Deputy Ministers and the entire system of the Police at the level of legislation and law-enforcement, as well as the public perceptions and perceptions of the mass media with regard to this, are studied and assessed.
The 5th Round Evaluation Report on the Republic of Armenia by GRECO will be adopted at the Plenary Meeting of GRECO in March 2024, and Recommendations will be given. Afterwards, reports on implementation of the Recommendations given will be submitted to GRECO on an annual basis. The process of implementation of the Recommendations will be carried out on an annual basis until GRECO considers the obligations as sufficiently implemented.
Within the scope of the visit, the evaluation team of GRECO had meetings with the above-mentioned state officials. A closed meeting was held with mass media representatives and representatives of NGOs to evaluate the Republic of Armenia within the scope of the 5th Round Evaluation of GRECO.
