Extensive agenda for anti-corruption and judicial-legal reforms discussed at the meeting of Armenia-EU Subcommittee on Justice, Freedom and Security, co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan

The 13th meeting of the Armenia-EU Subcommittee on Justice, Freedom and Security was held under the co-chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan. From the side of the EU, the meeting was co-chaired by Head of Division at European External Action Service Ms. Dorota Dlouchy-Suliga. The Deputy Minister emphasised that the fact that the meetings of the Subcommittee are ongoing says a lot about the sustainable partnership and co-operation between the Ministry of Justice and the European Union, as well as the willingness to deepen the co-operation, including within the framework of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister touched upon the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, the extensive agenda of judicial-legal and anti-corruption reforms and the activities carried out, the international co-operation in the judicial-legal sector, the fulfilment of a number of commitments under the Convention assumed by Armenia in this sector, personal data protection, as well as the co-operation of law enforcement authorities. The meeting was attended by high-ranking representatives of the European Commission, the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, diplomatic representatives of EU member states accredited in Armenia, as well as representatives of public administration and law-enforcement bodies.
