Current activities and upcoming actions of Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia presented to Minister Grigor Minasyan

The Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia (AMCA) hosted Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan; Deputy Minister Ara Mkrtchyan; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AMCA and Director of the "Centre for Legislative Development and Legal Research" Foundation Tigran Dadunts and his Deputy Davit Gharibyan. During the meeting, Director of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia (AMCA) Tatevik Matinyan introduced the structure, activities and upcoming actions of the Center and the services that are provided. Minister Grigor Minasyan emphasised the importance of AMCA and mentioned that further development of the Center and expansion of its activities are very important for development of alternative dispute resolution methods in Armenia. The steps aimed at raising awareness about arbitration and mediation among the business and legal communities were emphasised; as a result, the AMCA will become a trusted platform, ensuring rapid and effective examination of cases.

The need for the current legislative reforms in the sector of arbitration and mediation, further development of co-operation with courts and the alternative dispute resolution methods were touched upon during the meeting.
