Objects of biological origin to be thoroughly examined through new equipment

Through the new "Microtome" equipment acquired by the "Expertise Centre of the Republic of Armenia" State Non-Commercial Organisation, the Department of Biological, Soil Science, Food, Narcotics and Fabrics Examinations has conducted a new examination to establish the microscopic image of objects of plant origin for the first time ever. Taking into account the exclusive working capacities of the device (manual and automatic), this will allow the expert to obtain the examinable samples of 1 nanometre thickness, establishing the pertinence of the species of chopped (cut) tree in the shortest period, examination of tree (natural wood), which will help to create an opportunity for the expert to conduct comparative examinations. The device is also used to conduct examinations of non-biological samples.
