Procedure for calculating pensions of judges of Constitutional Court to be modified — Deputy Minister of Justice Levon Balyan presents draft law to the National Assembly

Deputy Minister of Justice Levon Balyan presented the draft of the Constitutional Law "On making amendments to the Constitutional Law ’On the Constitutional Court’” to the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly. The Draft proposes to calculate the amount of pension of a judge appointed to the position of member of the Constitutional Court before 1 July 2014 by taking as a basis the total amount of the official pay rate and the additional payment received for the most recent position held by the particular judge. In case of adoption of this legislative package, the procedure for calculating the pensions of judges in the judicial system will be the same for the judges of all court instances.
