A 20-day time period for Court of Appeal to publish decision — Detailed rules for procedure and time limits for accelerated trial to be established

Deputy Minister of Justice Ara Mkrtchyan presented to the National Assembly the draft Laws "On making amendments and supplements to the Administrative Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia" and "On making amendments and supplements to the Code of the Republic of Armenia on Administrative Offences". The draft will help to regulate the issues of charging a state duty in case of making not only main claims, but also derivative claims. The draft provides for more detailed rules for the procedure and time limits for accelerated trial, by establishing when the court shall proceed to the rendering of a judicial act and when the particular judicial act should be published. By adoption of the drafts, a specific 20-day time period will also be established for the Court of Appeal to publish its particular decision upon completion of case examination. During the plenary session of the National Assembly, the draft Law was adopted in the first reading.
