Ministers of Justice of Armenia and Georgia consider opportunities for deepening of partnership during private talks

Minister of Justice of Armenia Grigor Minasyan held private talks with Minister of Justice of Georgia Rati Bregadze. Grigor Minasyan expressed gratitude to his colleague for visiting Armenia to participate in the Armenian-Georgian Legal Forum and mentioned that this serves as an important platform for recapping the results of the work done by both parties and for predetermining the plans for the future. The Minister emphasised that the countries have 8 multilateral international treaties, 4 bilateral treaties and 2 signed Memoranda in the justice sector, the practical application of which is reflected in the joint activities that are being implemented. Grigor Minasyan attached special importance to the signing of a Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership between Armenia and Georgia and mentioned that it has also set a new bar for deepening the partnership in the justice sector even further. The Minister of Justice of Armenia congratulated Rati Bregadze on Georgia obtaining the status of European Union membership candidate. The Minister of Justice of Georgia expressed gratitude to Grigor Minasyan for the cordial reception. Rati Bregadze emphasised that the common goal of the justice sector authorities should be to ensure the legal security of the strategic relations between Armenia and Georgia. The Ministers of Justice of Armenia and Georgia expressed hope that the Armenian-Georgian Legal Forum taking place in Yerevan will help to create new opportunities for exchange of experience and localisation of reforms.
