New procedure for calculating pension of a judge of Constitutional Court — National Assembly adopts draft Law

The National Assembly has adopted, in the second reading, the draft Constitutional Law "On making amendments to the Constitutional Law "On the Constitutional Court"". Under the Draft, it is proposed to calculate the amount of pension of a judge appointed to the position of member of the Constitutional Court before 1 July 2014 based on the total amount of the official pay rate and the additional payment received for the most recent position held by the particular judge. These amendments have retroactive effect, as a result of which the effect of the Law will apply to two resigning judges of the Constitutional Court (also by making recalculation of the pension amount).
