Hovhannes Tumanyan's works performed by prisoners — "For the sake of ‘the words and things’ of an Armenian" event held at "Armavir" Penitentiary Institution

At the initiative of persons deprived of liberty who are members of the self-made cultural association operating at "Armavir" Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice and with the support of the Department of Social, Psychological and Legal Activities of the Institution, an event entitled "For the sake of the ‘words and things’ of an Armenian" and dedicated to great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan was organised. The persons deprived of liberty presented the poet's works, his life and career, as well as the analyses and stories taken from the famous works of the writer. About 20 convicts participated in the event, including participants of the “National Theatre and the Basics of Stage Craft” course held by the Union of Cultural Figures of Armenia. At the end of the event, members of the Union of Cultural Figures of Armenia handed over certificates to the Head of "Armavir" Penitentiary Institution, Colonel of Justice Arsen Arzumanyan; staff member of the Department of Social, Psychological and Legal Activities of the Penitentiary Institution Asya Ohanyan and the convicts who participated in the course and the event.
