ICC comments on the Draft Law regulating partnership with International Criminal Court expected to be received — Rome Statute Ratification Process discussed with Democracy Development Foundation

Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice Sirvard Gevorgyan received Senior Program Manager of the Democracy Development Foundation Tatevik Khachatryan and Justice and Human Rights Portfolio Manager Arpi Harutyunyan.
The partners from the Foundation presented the project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) which will help to ensure proper application of the instruments of the Rome Statute. It is also planned to create a platform to ensure effective co-operation between civil society and state bodies.
Sirvard Gevorgyan highly appreciated the involvement of civil society in the Rome Statute Post-Ratification Process and presented the activities carried out through the co-ordination of the Ministry of Justice in the post-ratification stage, as well as the existing co-operation with other international and national partners.
Sirvard Gevorgyan also mentioned that it is expected to receive comments with regard to the Draft Law regulating co-operation with the International Criminal Court from the Court itself in the nearest future. The parties considered further joint actions and reached an agreement on implementation of co-operation in the predetermined directions.
