Armenia and Kazakhstan deepening partnership in justice sector — Minister of Justice receives Ambassador of Kazakhstan

Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan received the delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Armenia Bolat Imanbayev.

Grigor Minasyan greeted the Ambassador and highly appreciated the high-level co-operation between the two countries. The Minister attached importance to the development of alternative methods for settlement of disputes which is on the agenda for judicial-legal reforms in Armenia, especially in the arbitration and mediation sectors, and to the establishment of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of Armenia. In this context, the parties discussed the progressive practice of Kazakhstan, including the practice with regard to the functioning of institutions.

Importance was attached to the Memorandum of Co-operation concluded between the International Arbitration Centre operating under the International Finance Centre in Astana and the Court. The Minister expressed gratitude to the Kazakh party for its willingness to participate in the Second Annual Armenian International Arbitration Conference at a high level.

The parties also considered the opportunities for expansion of co-operation in the area of digitisation of the judicial and legal framework, which is being actively carried out in both countries, including in the areas of creation of unified platforms for public services and digital justice.

Ambassador Imanbayev highlighted the high level of relations and co-operation between the two countries in the judicial-legal sector and in education, culture and other sectors.

During the meeting, a number of issues related to the organising of the meeting of the Ministers of Justice of Armenia and Kazakhstan and other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
