Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan attended the performance evaluation of penitentiary officers. The Minister greeted the officers and stated that the Government provides, as a priority, assistance to highly trained officers from the perspective of improvement of their financial situation, that is, passing the performance evaluation successfully is a direct path to a higher salary, and according to the Minister, passing the performance evaluation successfully is also a direct path to a higher level of responsibility.
Addressing the penitentiary officers, the Minister emphasised the following: "If you have decided to undergo performance evaluation, the volume of the load that you have assumed essentially increases. After successfully passing the performance evaluation, you need to realise that you are officers of a new quality and, unlike others, you have an advantage and a higher sense of responsibility.
Srbuhi Galyan stated that along with increased volume of responsibility, your daily work must show the quality of the Service. The Minister of Justice reaffirmed the idea that there is only one person who should be privileged in the Penitentiary Service, and that person is the penitentiary officer. The Minister emphasised that uniting around this idea and developing the professional skills will further strengthen the Service.
Let us mention that the testing stage was preceded by a physical fitness test, which penitentiary officers successfully passed.
