Opportunities for developing Armenian-Swiss relations in justice sector discussed

Video surveillance in pharmacies should be brought into line with the Law “On personal data protection”
Taking into account the fact that, based on the peculiarities of the operation of pharmacies, customers submit biometric data and sensitive personal data under a special category (information on customer's physical, physiological and biological, health condition) to employees of a pharmacy, it is necessary to ensure video surveillance in accordance with the principles of lawfulness and proportionality as prescribed by the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On personal data protection”.

Artak Zeynalyan noted that the Aragatsotn Marz Division of the Service had been entirely renovated, and this certainly contributes to the proper provision of all services to citizens: "The right to a fair trial will lose its meaning, if judicial acts are not executed properly, on time and completely, and provision of these conditions is aimed at ensuring that right."
Artak Zeynalyan holds consultation with the administration of the Penitentiary Service
The Acting Minister noted that the consultation was conditioned by the determination of the Government to attach importance to this sector, evidence of which was the decision to earmark about AMD 280 million for improving the living and household conditions of convicts and detained persons being kept at penitentiary institutions for the first time in the last ten years.

The defence counsels presented their claims relating — according to their statement — to the groundless delay of court sessions of eight detained persons under one case, rejection by the court of the motion to replace detention as a measure of restraint with bail, as well as other issues.
